Granny flats in Perth
A self-contained second home on your block, often without subdividing.
In WA, a granny flat is called an ancillary dwelling: a small, self-contained home on the same lot as your main house. Owners build them for family, for rental income, or as a home office or studio.
What we check first
- What your zoning and the R-Codes allow on your lot.
- Space, setbacks and open space with the granny flat in place.
- Access, parking and connection to services.
- Whether you need development approval as well as a building permit.
Granny flat or subdivision?
A granny flat stays on your existing title, so it is usually simpler than subdividing. If your lot is large enough to subdivide, a separate lot and home can add more value. Our feasibility check tells you which makes more sense for your block.
How we build
Regional Construct builds granny flats on a cost-plus basis, with a realistic estimate up front, weekly updates and a dedicated project manager.
